Suraj Venjaramoodu was born on 30th June 1969 in Venjaramoodu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He completed his schooling from Government High School, Venjaramoodu and graduated from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram. He started his career as a mimicry artist and was part of the Kalabhavan troupe. He made his acting debut in the 2002 Malayalam film Meesa Madhavan. He has since acted in over 100 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
